Vintage Car Racing

You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

I'm doing a long tour this summer to all the classic race tracks and vintage events, hauling my race car--Peyote, in a customized Airstream I built called Nero. Assuming I come somewhere close to cities and town you know, where should I eat along the way. I'm looking for everything--great BBQ, country cooking, fine dining, specialty places (like the Giant Artichoke), super good breakfast joints.

Hey Bill - Do you have teeshirts for your All Al-u-min-i-um Tour?

Not yet, but I need to. I'm thinking of something kind of classy looking besides just T shirts. Last year I got Columbia Sportswear to donate shirts for the Columbia River Classic, they were really neat long sleeve shirts from their Performance Fishing Gear line. I think something like that. Or maybe something like the Tommy Bahama annual shirts. I'll figure it out.

No, I missed the Mitty this year. The tour starts next week at the SOVREN Spring Sprints at Pacific Raceway in Seattle (well, actually Kent) WA. Then off to Elkhart Lakes and Road America for the MOTRAH race, then down to Virginia for the Gold Cup. 15,000 miles, 17 events, 15 tracks and four months--assuming everything works out.
